Spain to Introduce Border Controls for Travelers from Italy

Spain will introduce border controls for travelers from Italy, the newspaper El País reported. At the end of July, tens of thousands of illegal migrants reached the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta by swimming and on foot, bypassing the breakwater separating the city from Morocco. Following this, Italy temporarily suspended the Schengen Agreement with Spain. In response, Spain's Foreign Ministry called the decision groundless.
