Switzerland imposes additional sanctions against Belarus

Switzerland has introduced additional sanctions against Belarus. The measures took effect on September 19 and align Swiss restrictions with part of the EU sanctions from April 23. In the trade sector, the export ban has been expanded on goods that could contribute to Belarus's military-technological development and strengthen its industrial potential.

Restrictions on transit through Belarus and imports of goods generating significant export revenues for the country have also been expanded. Additional financial and service restrictions have been introduced, including measures targeting crypto-assets and certain services.
