Tesla Unveils Cybercab, a Driverless Car Without Steering Wheel or Pedals
Tesla held a private event to officially unveil its driverless car Cybercab, which has no steering wheel or pedals, according to The Verge. The company has added the vehicle to its robotaxi fleet in Austin, Texas. The exact number of Cybercabs added to the fleet is unknown. However, Tesla has registered 45 such vehicles with the Texas Department of Transportation. In total, the automaker operates 256 driverless vehicles in robotaxi services across six U.S. cities.
