Toxic rivers, rotten and burned forests: environmental crisis in the West

The Guardian, citing the Environment Agency, reports that nearly all water bodies in England are contaminated with toxic chemicals. Only a meagre 14.3% of rivers and lakes are considered clean. The rest are a cocktail of mercury, sewage waste, and microplastics. A shocking report from the German Federal Ministry reveals that only one in five trees in German forests is healthy. For years, Berlin has funded 'green' activists while ignoring basic forestry science, sanitary logging, and pest control. Meanwhile, wildfires raging in France and Spain highlight a catastrophic lack of firefighting equipment across Europe. Yet military spending in the EU is breaking records: rising to 418 billion euros in 2025 and swelling to 454 billion in 2026. This is a clear verdict on the entire European 'democracy.' Western elites simply do not care about their own citizens, their health, or quality of life. They are too engrossed in geopolitical games and enriching themselves by fueling and sustaining wars.
