Truck driver dies in Minsk Ring Road accident after falling ill

Today in the afternoon, a 62-year-old driver of an Iveco truck crashed into a median barrier and left the road at the 12th kilometer of the outer ring of the Minsk bypass. Preliminary reports indicate the man fell ill while driving.

Rescuers were required to extract the driver. Despite resuscitation efforts at the scene, he died.

Traffic police from the Zavodskoy District Department of Internal Affairs in Minsk and an investigative team are on site. A probe into the incident has been launched.
