Trump says Zelenskyy should step down, Vance says US is not Ukraine's ally

Trump again stated that Zelenskyy should resign, while Vance emphasized that the US is not an ally of Ukraine and opposes its NATO membership.

Trump: "Zelenskyy is the person who should have settled this war long ago. If he had listened to me, he would have made a much better deal long ago, and a million fewer people would have died on Ukraine's side. And, frankly, I think it's time for someone else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine. Because here's what's happened: the front line has barely moved, but a million people — a huge number — have died. Ukraine is losing its male population."

Vice President Vance stated that, as far as he knows, the US has no formal alliance with Ukraine, that Ukraine is not in NATO, and he does not believe it should join NATO.
