Two men caught near Polish border with drone in Belarus
On the night of June 25, Brest border guards detained two Belarusian citizens near the Belarus-Poland border based on operational information.
An Audi car was found at the scene, as well as a custom-made multicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle, a control unit, eight batteries, a laptop with special software, and an antenna. All items have been seized for expert analysis and to establish the circumstances.
An administrative case has been initiated against the detained individuals for violating the border regime (Part 2, Article 24.19 of the Administrative Code). Additionally, their actions show signs of breaching airspace usage rules (Part 2, Article 18.35 of the Administrative Code) and illegal actions regarding civilian drones (Part 1, Article 18.38 of the Administrative Code). The offenders face a fine of up to 130 base units with confiscation of the drone.
