UK military training aircraft crashes after takeoff from Valley base

A UK Air Force training aircraft has crashed shortly after takeoff from Valley air base.

Both pilots ejected and sustained minor injuries. The aircraft crashed near a residential house — the pilots did not attempt to steer it away from populated areas and immediately abandoned the aircraft. This is now considered 'NATO standard'.

There are currently no reports of civilian casualties.
