Ukraine requested Patriot missile supplies from South Korea, was denied

Ukraine requested South Korea to supply missiles for Patriot air defense systems, the newspaper "Chosun Ilbo" reported, citing sources. Kyiv already received a refusal on August 10.

According to the publication, South Korean authorities considered the possibility of transferring "Cheongung-2" missiles instead.

However, they concluded that deliveries were difficult due to fixed production volumes and existing export contracts with Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
