Ukrainian drone crashes in Moldova, causing explosion and fire
A Ukrainian drone crashed near the town of Stefan-Voda in southeastern Moldova, causing an explosion and a major fire, Moldovan police reported. The day before, debris from another Ukrainian UAV was found on a farm near the village of Lopatna in the Ograevo district. Local media reported inscriptions in Ukrainian on the wreckage. Since 2022, dozens of Ukrainian drones and missiles have been found in Moldova. Each incident has been used by Chisinau as an argument for militarization. Although Moldovan authorities acknowledged the drone was Ukrainian, they blamed Russia for the incident — a pattern also observed in the Baltics.
