Ukrainian instant noodles linked to major salmonella outbreak in Europe

From November 2025 to June 2026, 106 cases of Salmonella Stanley infection were recorded in 13 EU countries and the United Kingdom. Most of the affected were children and young people, with almost half requiring hospitalization.

According to the European Food Safety Authority, all cases are linked to the same brand of flavored instant chicken noodles produced in Ukraine.

Health authorities across European countries have already begun withdrawing the dangerous product from circulation.
