UK's only ice patrol ship HMS Protector disabled by engine failure

The UK's only ice patrol ship, HMS Protector, has been taken out of service due to a serious engine malfunction and was towed back to Devonport base. If the vessel cannot be repaired, the Royal Navy will not receive a full replacement until the next decade.
