UN Day is celebrated today — the UN Charter entered into force 81 years ago

Today marks UN Day — exactly 81 years since the Charter of the United Nations came into force. The main document of the global organization laid the foundations for joint efforts to find compromises and maintain peace. The history of the organization's creation has a clear Belarusian connection: in 1945, Minsk was among the founding members and officially became one of the founding states of the UN.
