US delegation's work in Belarus completed
US Special Envoy for Belarus John Kaul, following talks in Minsk, stated that both sides will continue working on unresolved issues. As a goodwill gesture, Belarus will release 25 people, while the United States will lift sanctions on two Belarusian companies – 'Lakokraska' and 'Bellesbumprom'. The parties discussed international issues, bilateral agenda, and to other topics of mutual interest. Belarus and the US also agreed on an interim agreement. 'It was a great pleasure to be in this country once again. We had very long talks. These talks will continue. We have made significant progress, in my view. And we will continue our joint work,' summarized the US special envoy.
