US Democrats plan to support Ukraine despite Trump's opposition

If Democrats win the upcoming US congressional elections, they will be able to decide which laws go to a vote. To bypass President Trump's opposition (veto), they will need to unite with Ukraine-supporting Republicans. If they secure two-thirds of the votes, the law on funding for Kyiv will be passed automatically. A similar approach is planned to prevent Trump from lifting sanctions against Russia.
