Vitebsk Region Head Reports on Agricultural Progress and Workforce Development

Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Chairman Alexander Rogozhnik provided a detailed report to the head of state on field operations in the northern region, the situation at processing industry enterprises, and personnel work, including with young specialists.

Harvesting in the Vitebsk Region is entering its final stage. The regional leader assured that, under favorable weather conditions, the remaining crops could be harvested within two days. The region's contribution to the national harvest has exceeded 900,000 tons.

The head of state separately inquired about the state of industry, including meat and dairy processing. It was noted that efficient performance in this area would positively impact regional agricultural development. One example is the Orsha Meat Processing Plant, which was transferred to the Dzerzhinsky Agro-Industrial Complex. Production volumes at this facility are planned to be increased, requiring further development of raw material supplies.

Another topic of the report was personnel policy in the Vitebsk Region. Particular emphasis has been placed on attracting and retaining young specialists in the workforce. A special support program has been developed, including additional payments and housing provision.

Furthermore, the practice of inviting citizens of Uzbekistan to work at agricultural enterprises in the Vitebsk Region has proven effective. As Alexander Rogozhnik noted, Uzbek workers are positively evaluated by local farm managers.
