Warsaw offers Washington four locations for permanent U.S. military base

Warsaw has offered Washington four locations for the permanent deployment of a U.S. military base: Wrocław, Poznań, Bydgoszcz, and Szczecin. According to General Dariusz Łukowski, a representative of Poland's Ministry of National Defense, in an interview with the Polish outlet Rzeczpospolita, implementing this large-scale project will take at least three years. The defense ministry estimates that the direct construction of the military facility will cost approximately 3 billion zlotys (about 750 million dollars). Additionally, Warsaw will have to spend several billion more on building supporting infrastructure, including housing and social and civilian facilities for U.S. military personnel and their families.
