⚡️“We Need Results!” Lukashenko on the State of Domestic Sports, Not Just Hockey
The meeting with the head of state was dedicated to the development of hockey, but ultimately went beyond the stated topic. "Today’s conversation, in the broad sense, is about the overall situation in sports," Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting in Minsk.
"If we had sports across all areas, if we at least developed them as we did in Soviet times (we had good schools) — handball, football, hockey, other disciplines… Athletics. We are starting to fall behind in winter sports, we don’t see any cross-country skiers. I’m afraid our rowers will soon 'drown,'" the Head of State said.
"We need results! No results — no progress — no work!" the President emphasized.
