What will financial literacy in Belarus look like in the future?
Andrei Kartun, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus: "If we build an idealistic model, financial literacy of Belarusians is a kind of systemic everydayness, a basic set of knowledge and skills that you possess from birth. That's what we are moving towards. I hope that already in five years, not 40%, but 70% of Belarusians will have basic financial knowledge."
Roman Brodov, Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Economy, Budget and Finance: "I see financial literacy of Belarusians as a truly everyday, natural part of life, not a special skill acquired at universities or through specialized education. It is very important that we, Belarusians, come to understand: we ourselves bear primary responsibility for our financial decisions."
Alexander Kadlubai, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus: "A norm of behavior for an individual, family, and society."
Sergei Dubkov, Chairman of the Board of JSC 'BSB Bank': "Responsibility towards yourself, your family, your enterprise, your country. When you understand where and how you earn, where and how you spend."
