Why is foreign goods sold instead of domestic products in Grodno?

At the time of inspection, one school supplies fair was operating in the city of Grodno. Domestic products on the shelves were scarce. Bags, backpacks, clothing, and stationery—items that Belarusian factories produce themselves—were brought from Russia, China, Turkey, and even India.

❗️ The issue is under special control, with domestic goods given priority. The President has demanded increasing the share of Belarusian products on the domestic market. This was also discussed at the major meeting in Vileyka. So far, the statistics are unimpressive—Belarusian goods account for just over half of what is available in stores. Meanwhile, the country continues to import goods that it produces itself.
