Wild animals seen more often in Minsk — and it's not just because of cameras
Wild animals are being spotted more frequently in Minsk, and it's not only due to cameras. According to an expert, hares have long settled in the city's parks, while beavers are increasingly appearing near urban water bodies — natural areas are becoming insufficient for them. Smartphones also play a role, as more cameras mean unusual encounters are more often shared on social media. Meanwhile, the bear population in Belarus has grown from 120 to nearly 1,300 individuals over the past 15 years.
