Overview
A park with two personalities: one half is a lively entertainment zone with amusement rides, cafés, and a dance floor; the other is a serene pine forest where white squirrels and wild rabbits roam among towering trees. Chelyuskintsev Park is conveniently located near the metro, making it one of the most accessible natural retreats in Minsk.
History
Construction began around 1928, transforming a dense area known as Komarovsky Forest into a structured park over four years. As the park approaches its centenary in 2028, a major upgrade program is underway: new stylish pavilions, updated lighting systems, modern attractions, and a redesigned children's playground are all planned, ensuring the park remains vibrant for the next century.
What to see
The tall pine forest trails — home to remarkably tame white squirrels and rabbits. The dance floor — still operational and popular for outdoor social events. Amusement rides in the entertainment section. The atmospheric transition from bustling fairground to quiet forest within a few hundred meters.
