Overview
A hidden gem in Minsk's industrial Zavodsky District, this recently renovated neighborhood park serves as the "green lungs" of an area dominated by factories and residential blocks. After a comprehensive modernization, the park now features creative installations including a traffic-light tree, original road-sign art, a skatepark, modern pathways, and atmospheric lighting.
History
Originally created to provide green space for workers in the surrounding industrial zone, the park was thoroughly renovated several years ago and transformed from a neglected Soviet-era square into a vibrant community hub. Its environmental role is significant — the park's trees and vegetation help filter emissions from nearby industrial facilities, making it essential infrastructure as much as recreation.
What to see
The traffic-light tree — an artistic installation using real traffic lights. Creative road-sign sculptures scattered throughout the park. The modern skatepark — popular with local youth. Well-lit evening walking paths through landscaped grounds.
