Overview
An elegant Classicist palace on the banks of the Dobosna River, Zhilichi Palace is one of the finest noble estates in eastern Belarus. Recently restored with meticulous attention to period detail, it offers a rare glimpse into 19th-century aristocratic life with preserved interiors, parquet floors, and original ceiling decorations.
History
Construction began in 1825, commissioned by Ignatiy Bulgak, who reportedly drew inspiration from French country residences he observed during the military campaigns of 1812. The result was a grand Classical ensemble with a landscaped park, farm buildings, and planned layout that rivaled the finest estates in the region.
What to see
The restored palace rooms with 19th-century interiors and furnishings. The surrounding park on the riverbank. The harmonious Classical architecture of the main building and outbuildings.
