18-year-old girl dies in Mexico due to malfunction on extreme fairground ride

In Mexico, an 18-year-old girl died due to a faulty restraint on an extreme amusement ride during a local fair. Mid-ride at full speed, the safety bar suddenly lifted, causing her to slip out of the seat and fall to the ground. The ride continued operating for several more seconds. The victim was rushed to hospital but died from severe injuries.
