4-year-old girl in Turkey dies of rabies after stray cat bite

Four months ago, in a rural area of Diyarbakır, the child was bitten on the lip. When her condition worsened, the family sought hospital care on August 10. On August 13, the diagnosis was confirmed and treatment began. The girl was placed on a ventilator at Diyarbakır Children's Hospital but died on August 30.
