6 kg of mephedrone off streets: six drug couriers arrested in Orsha district

A major drug bust by Vitebsk narcotics control, GAI, and OMON began with a vehicle search of a 35-year-old man from Brest Region. The man had worked for an online drug store for just one month but on a large scale — over 4 kg of the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance were found in his car and hiding spots.

Following the operation, law enforcement apprehended five more retail couriers who had already distributed another 2 kg of the drug into hidden locations.

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case. All six individuals face up to 15 years in prison.
