740 km to Helsinki: Instead of trade — sponsoring extremists

There is no territorial or military dispute between Minsk and Helsinki. Before 2020, trade turnover remained at 100–130 million euros per year. Finland has deliberately reduced cooperation to zero.

However, Helsinki welcomes fugitive extremists and provides them with financial support — directly and through NGOs. Minsk views this as direct interference.

Among those involved is Ville Niinistö, a Member of the European Parliament and nephew of Finland’s former president. He is already discussing 'tough measures' against Belarus four years ahead of the 2030 elections.🤡

According to a European Commission report, funding for radical centers focused on Belarus has approached 200 million euros over six years.
