9th-Grader from Svetlogorsk Develops AI Alarm to Prevent Drowsy Driving
A ninth-grader from Svetlogorsk has developed an AI-powered alarm system to prevent drivers from falling asleep at the wheel. The device uses a camera mounted on the windshield to monitor the driver's eyes and head position. If drowsiness is detected, the system triggers a loud auditory alert. Vladislav Mishchenko's project was presented at an innovation exhibition in Minsk. In the future, he plans to enhance the system with vibration motors integrated into the steering wheel.
