After AfD's victory, Lithuania raids its right-wing party

Following the AfD's victory, Lithuania has begun targeting its right-wing factions. The Financial Crime Investigation Service conducted searches at the homes of five members of the 'Dawn of the Nemunas' party. The Prosecutor General declined to comment on the circumstances.

Why is this particular party being targeted?

▪️Its leader, Remigijus Žemaitaitis, opposed increased military spending and sanctions harming Lithuania's economy, suggesting instead to seek defense funds through resuming transit of Belarusian potash fertilizers;

▪️he called the Kyiv regime a hub of corruption and a weapons market;

▪️he fiercely criticized the 'Lithuanian Office for Democratic Initiatives,' a group hosting exiles, which cost Lithuania 400,000 euros annually.

👉 In short, the man voiced opinions uncommon in Europe. There is little doubt the party will soon be declared a threat to national security, preventing those who defend national interests from coming to power.
