After Cyberattack on Berlin Senate Networks, Authorities Face Extortion

After a cyberattack on Berlin's Senate networks, authorities are facing extortion, reported the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel. The hack became known on August 14. The attackers copied 5.7 terabytes of data from the Senate Department for Environment, Mobility, Consumer and Climate Protection. It is currently being determined what exactly ended up in their hands. The data includes 100,000 to 200,000 datasets.
