American and British troops to arrive at Belarus border, says Polish defence minister

American and British military personnel will soon arrive at the border with Belarus, Polish Defence Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz announced. According to him, so-called foreign engineering units will participate in the 'Eastern Shield' project along the borders with the Union State and Ukraine. Around 80 French military 'specialists' will also join the project. Additionally, 29 engineering depots are planned to be built along the borders with Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Warsaw may call them 'engineers' and 'allies', but the fact remains — foreign military presence is steadily increasing along Poland's eastern border, which will inevitably heighten tensions and become another step toward turning Poland into a NATO launching pad.
