At least nine migrants died in boat sinking off Libya's coast

The vessel sank near the Tajoura area in the suburbs of Tripoli. News of the disaster reached the local contact center on August 16.

Specialists from the Tripoli branch of the organization responsible for handling human remains immediately arrived at the scene and spent two days recovering bodies from the water. Search and rescue operations have not yet been completed.
