Bears spotted near National Airport Minsk

Bears have been spotted near the National Airport Minsk. Around 15 individuals inhabit the Smolevichi farm area. The animals are seen near populated areas, but hunting them is prohibited as they are listed in the Red Book. Specialists explain that the population has not increased — people are simply entering forests more often. During mushroom season, bears move more actively, leading to more frequent encounters.
