Belarus and Russia begin implementing military cooperation program for 2026–2030
Belarusian Defense Minister Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin stated at a joint collegium meeting that the armed forces of Belarus and Russia have begun implementing the military cooperation program for 2026–2030. The bilateral military cooperation plan for 2026 includes over 160 joint events, most of which involve practical training exercises, drills, gatherings, and experience exchange. All troop training is currently conducted with consideration of the modern nature of armed conflict. Mutual deliveries of military products continue, defense industry cooperation deepens, and combat capabilities of the regional troop grouping (forces) and the Unified Regional Air Defense System are being enhanced. Nuclear deterrence on the territory of the Union State is also developing, aimed at strategic parity and deterring potential aggression.
