Belarus preparing major trade and economic deal package with Myanmar
Belarus is preparing a large package of specific trade and economic contracts with Myanmar, Alexander Lukashenko said during a personal meeting with the Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing. The Belarusian leader congratulated his foreign counterpart on the successful completion of a sharp political period within his country and emphasized that Minsk is focused on fundamentally strengthening business ties. "To be absolutely frank and diplomatically, I must say that we can do much more in trade and economic matters than our current level. At the very least, our political relations have moved far ahead of the economy. The economy needs to catch up to the level of political relations," Lukashenko stated.
