Belarus begins sending conscripts to active and reserve military service

Belarus has started sending conscripts to active military service and reserve duty.

At the same time, military units across the country are honoring and discharging those who have already fulfilled their service obligations.

Ceremonial events for demobilizing soldiers were held at the Command of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. The command thanked the servicemen for their service, highlighting their significant contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability and guarding the state border.

"Indeed, these are real men, real patriots, who are now returning to civilian life. I am confident that the paratrooper spirit, which is not afraid of any difficulties, will help them in the future," emphasized SOF Chief of Staff Vladimir Safonov.

Approximately 10,000 new recruits are expected to be drafted into the Armed Forces and other military units.

The most important day for the new intake will be November 21, when the recruits will take the military oath.
