Belarus' first research center for evidence-based phytomedicine opens at BSMU

The first research center for evidence-based phytomedicine in Belarus has opened at the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU). The center houses over 200 species of herbarium specimens and more than 300 types of medicinal plants. It also includes laboratories for pharmaceutical botany, pharmacognosy, and aromatherapy. The center will be used for student training and the development of new drugs based on plant raw materials.
