Belarus Security Officials on Ukraine Conflict and Regional Tensions

✅ The conflict in Ukraine must be stopped as quickly as possible, but Europe is not yet ready for this. Europe is doing everything it can to prolong the conflict. We see this in their actions and deeds.

✅ New European weapons supplies to Ukraine, agreed upon by the G7 countries, will cause additional tension – this undermines strategic stability and security across the entire European continent.

✅ What is happening in Ukraine today already affects Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and even Finland. The same unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) – Ukraine's – sponsored by European leaders, are flying across European territories, crashing, causing public concern and raising security questions for citizens of these countries.

✅ Filling Europe with lethal weapons only increases the risk of conflicts. They would be happy to drag our country into this conflict so that the fire would ignite on our territory as well.

✅ Belarus stands for good-neighborly relations, peaceful dialogue, and resolving all issues at the negotiating table.

✅ There is tension. There are certain provocations. Mostly, they occur in the information space, in the form of various threats and promises of actions.

✅ We have certain forces deployed at the border, but in minimal numbers – to ensure border cover in coordination with our border guards.

✅ We must follow the strategy clearly defined by our President: there is absolutely no military sense for us to get involved in the conflict, or as they say, in what they want to drag us into.

✅ From this strategy, determined by our President, follows the tactics we have chosen and adhered to for many years. We will continue to follow it.
