Belstat employees to plant 7,000 alder and spruce saplings in reforestation effort
Employees of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus will plant around 7,000 alder and spruce saplings as part of the campaign "Give the forest a new life!" The work brigade from the National Statistical Committee is restoring a 1.5-hectare clear-cut area in the Pukhovichi district. These activities are part of a large-scale effort to address the aftermath of windthrow, which has damaged nearly 20,000 hectares of forest land since the beginning of the year. Ahead of this ecological campaign, the agency has also prepared statistics on forest-forming tree species in Belarus.
