Boeing to develop next-gen US Navy fighter for $20 billion, Pentagon says
Boeing will develop the next-generation naval fighter for the U.S. Navy under a $20 billion contract, the Pentagon announced. The deal includes the creation of prototypes, flight readiness testing, and system validation. According to the Pentagon, the F/A-XX is a carrier-based fighter that will complement the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler from the 2030s onward, and eventually replace them.
