Three of four UK nuclear-capable Vanguard submarines at sea — The Times

Three out of four British Vanguard-class submarines capable of carrying nuclear weapons are at sea, The Times reports, citing sources.

According to UK military doctrine, one of the Vanguard-class submarines is constantly at sea on combat duty. The other two submarines are likely involved in exercises and preparing for future patrol operations. This is believed to be the first such instance in over five years.
