ChatGPT Introduces Password-Protected Chats for Private Conversations

OpenAI has introduced a new feature called Locked Chats, which allows users to move individual conversations into a secure space not visible in the regular chat history and inaccessible via search. Accessing these chats on the web and desktop will require a PIN code, while supported devices will also allow Face ID, Touch ID, or device unlock. The company clarified that messages in locked chats will not affect the memory used in regular conversations. The feature will be gradually rolled out to users across all major ChatGPT subscription tiers, including both paid and free plans.
