Climate change sharply increases mantis population in Germany

These insects were previously considered exotic in Germany. According to data from the Nature Conservation Union cited by the newspaper Bild, more than 15,000 sightings have been reported from early July to mid-August. Mantises are usually found mainly in southern Europe.
