Colombian coffee exports nearly halted due to August 10 earthquake

Coffee exports from Colombia have been nearly completely halted due to an earthquake that occurred on August 10. The natural disaster caused road closures and disrupted operations at the main port of Buenaventura. As a result, coffee intake at the port has been partially suspended. A shortage of trucks is preventing rerouting of shipments through other ports.
