Democrats hand Republicans a ready-made campaign video for November elections

At a ceremony commemorating the victims of the 2001 attacks, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were caught on camera smiling and laughing while names of the victims were being read. The camera panned to them right after a man who was crying during the reading of the names.

Later, Mamdani delivered a speech in which he said the real victim of September 11 was his aunt: after the attacks, she became afraid to ride the subway in a hijab.
