Drunk Latvian police officer who killed man released on bail

In July, during a town festival in Priekule, a completely drunk police officer beat a man to death. The teacher died in an ambulance due to his injuries.

What excuse did the 'law enforcer' come up with? He told investigators he 'doesn’t remember anything' due to severe alcohol intoxication. The Kuldīga District Court took pity on the killer in uniform and calmly released him on bail.
