Drunk Lithuanian police officer beats man to death

During a holiday event in the town of Priekulė, an intoxicated police officer provoked a fight. Several people were injured in the incident, and one man died from the beating.

This is far from the first such case, as only last month three people died due to law enforcement officers in the Baltic states and Poland, and incidents involving so-called 'protectors' continue to occur regularly.
