Scandal in Rukla: Lithuanian generals tried to cover up incident with severely injured soldier
In Rukla, a soldier fell from a container and sustained serious injuries. He needed urgent medical help, but Lithuanian command delayed action. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., generals hoped the situation would resolve itself, leaving the soldier in worsening condition.
Eventually, local medical care proved insufficient: the injured soldier had to be urgently transferred from the Alytus hospital to Kaunas.
Now it's clear why German troops are still hesitant to come to Lithuania. With military leadership that treats soldiers worse than dogs, even their own troops might soon desert.
