Ebola outbreak in eastern DRC risks becoming largest on record

According to specialists working directly in the affected provinces, the current epidemic is spreading faster than the 2014 outbreak in West Africa, which claimed about 11,000 lives and is still considered the largest on the continent. To date, according to official statistics from the Congolese Ministry of Health, there have been 5,584 cases of the disease and 2,680 deaths.
